Arizona Cities
Phoenix is now the sixth most populated city in the nation, with 1,445,000 residents living within its 519 square miles. Phoenix is at the center of the Valley of the Sun, one of the largest and youngest metropolitan areas in the country. Other cities include Mesa, Glendale, Scottsdale, Tempe, Peoria and Avondale. Since December of 2008, the Metro Light Rail has made it easy to experience the unique offerings of each city. Phoenix enjoys an average of 334 days of sunshine each year, which means there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy its 32,987 acres of parks and preserves and world-class golf courses around every corner.
