Phoenix Public Library and Changing Hands Bookstore present YAllapalooza from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave.
YAllapalooza is a free literary event for teens and tweens. Authors will participate in a panel discussion at 4 p.m., followed by a booksigning. Authors scheduled to participate include: Tom Leveen, C.J. Hill (aka Janette Rallison), Adam Rex, Robin Brande, Amy Fellner Dominy, Aprilynne Pike, Bree Despain, Anna Carey, Kiersten White, Cecil Castellucci and James Owen.
Books will be available for purchase at the event. Pizza, courtesy of Clockwork Pizza and Changing Hands Bookstore, will be served during the book signing.
YAllapalooza follows a Young Adult Writing Conference, offered by Changing Hands Bookstore, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Burton Barr Central Library. The authors, including several New York Times bestsellers, will share strategies, tips and tricks for writing engaging work for tween and teen readers.
