The city of Phoenix “Green Team” invites vendors offering sustainable products and services to the “We Love Green Vendors” showcase from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the atrium of Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St. The event is free.
This event offers green vendors, or those that want to be green, the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 20 city departments responsible for purchasing products and contracting for services, with a focus on sustainability.
Event workshops will focus on small business certification, technical and business assistance programs and the Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Program.
Four vendors will be randomly chosen to stand in the “Green Spotlight,” offering a chance to highlight their products and services. Vendors interested in the “Green Spotlight” must RSVP by Jan. 31.
The Phoenix Green Team, led by Sustainability Officer Carolyn Bristo, includes representatives from a variety of city departments focused on advancing the city’s sustainable mission to ensure the highest quality of life for all through effective stewardship of natural, human and economic resources.
Deadline to register is Jan. 31. Contact Trudy Merrill at 602-256-5669 or trudy.merrill@phoenix.gov.
